Wow. Calvin REALLY wants me to go to the Art Institute.
Seriously. I’ve gotten e-mails (which I know is normal from colleges to high school seniors) and NUMEROUS phone calls (usually at the same time every day. Literally every. Day.) and I finally got a hold of him and he’s SO ENTHUSIASTIC about me going to the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. Wow. @__@
He’s probably like that with all his applicants so I shouldn’t feel special but still. When I went on the tour, he really liked my art and even wanted me to send him something I drew (so I just emailed him that picture of Anselm) and yeah…
It makes me feel kinda special hearing someone from an art college say your art is amazing when you’re only 17. eue;;
Still keeping my options open, though. I’m also looking into:
- Full Sail University (Since Trey Sharp, one of the world designers for Skyrim, graduated from there and now works for Bethesda [which is what I want to do])
- Ringling College of Art
- Academy of Art University
So yeah. Still have other options. Full Sail has REALLY peaked my interest, though… I need to schedule tours of these schools or at least contact the admissions offices…
